Frequently Asked Questions

Following are some FAQs for quick help:

How do I get started?

In order to begin, I request that clients please fill out the questionnaire available on the Contact page. Once this is submitted I’ll be able to look over your project details and follow-up with any additional questions or information.

Is there a deposit? How is payment handled?

Yes, a standard 50% deposit is required. On the Pricing / Packages page you can select the logo package that is right for you and make a secure payment through PayPal. Once we’ve completed the design process, I’ll send an invoice directly to your email for the second half of payment.

*Please note that a PayPal account is NOT required. On the checkout page you can simply click “Pay with a debit or credit card” and then input your information to complete the purchase.

Which package should I choose?

Budget is often the deciding factor when it comes to selecting a logo package. With 3 packages on the table, I try to accommodate as many businesses as possible.

It’s worth noting that while budget is a strong consideration, there are definitely other elements in play. For example, do you already have an idea of what you’d like your logo to look like? Some clients present their own ideas & sketches, in which case the basic package might be exactly what we need to bring your vision to life. On the other hand, if you enjoy a little more flexibility throughout the design stages, the standard or advanced package might make sense. Ultimately, your logo is an investment. With every upgrade in package, we’ll have more concepts to explore, and additional rounds of revisions to work with.

What if I don't have any imagery suggestions, or color preferences to provide in the questionnaire?

This is perfectly fine. The questionnaire is simply in place to help facilitate the briefing process and discover any personal preferences that may exist. If you’d rather defer to my recommendations, I will always do diligent research and focus on successfully connecting you with your target audience.

Why do you ask for sample logos? Where should I look to find designs that I enjoy?

Requesting sample logos helps me connect with the client. The feedback that is provided will effectively narrow down the styles and layouts for us to explore. There are many solutions available for any given project. With your input we’ll work toward a finished product that both you and your viewers will love. Logo Pond is a great place to browse logo designs. A quick, targeted search (for example: “Restaurant Logos”) will reveal many samples within a specific industry.

How long does the design process take?

I average 3-5 business days for delivery of the initial concepts. Revisions usually take about a day.

Do you accept rush jobs?

As you can imagine, it’s best to avoid rushing the development of your new logo. However, if you’re on a tight deadline, I can usually make myself available. Please contact me with any time restrictions and I can offer a quote that includes the expedited service.

What if I already have a logo and only need a slight modification?

If you have a very specific adjustment in mind shoot me an email with your current logo + request, and I’ll be happy to offer the best price possible. Anything beyond that though and I tend to default to the basic package, which is geared for projects that begin to require creative design solutions.

What are redraws? How do they differ from a revision?

A redraw is the development of a brand new concept.  When dealing with creative solutions, there is always the chance of a slight disconnect between the vision of a designer and client.  If the initial concepts don’t quite seem to strike a cord, we can gather as much feedback as possible, bounce new ideas, and return to the drawing board. While redraws involve the creation of a new concept, revisions consist of the refinement of an existing logo concept.

What file formats are provided upon completion?

AI, EPS, PDF, PNG, & JPG files are all included. You’ll have access to the vector source files which can be used for any digital or print materials in the future.

Do you offer meetings?

In order to remain as efficient as possible I don’t offer meetings anymore, but am certainly available to discuss details over the phone at your convenience. If you’re comfortable with email this is the preferred means of communication as it’s a great way to ensure that all of the project details are documented along the way.

Do you also design business cards, flyers, brochures, websites, etc?

Yes! Please don’t hesitate to inquire about any other projects you have available and we can continue to expand your branding identity.
